English 10

In English 10 students will continue to develop skills in composition and literature. Through classic and contemporary literature, students will examine the relationship between the individual and society. Students will refine their ability to analyze and make meaning of novels, short stories, poetry, and nonfiction. Student participation in this course is essential as it will enhance critical thinking skills. Themes may include social justice, the pursuit of justice and human dignity, and the use and abuse of power.
