Economics

This course examines the characteristics, benefits, and goals of the American economic system. The course will provide an understanding of • The major aspects of macroeconomics including the nature of scarcity, the laws of supply and demand, money and banking, the role of government and taxation, the nature of poverty, unemployment, and the importance of world trade. • Some aspects of microeconomics deal with pricing, business firms, and the role of the consumer. In addition, the course will provide the student with practical skills and knowledge for use in the workplace and in higher education. We will also highlight the use of technology to enhance the learning process.
