US History

This course delves into the study of ideas, people, forces, and geography that influenced our country and people today. The course will provide an understanding that many social, economic, political, cultural, religious, and military events have helped define American society. With that perspective, students will be able to analyze the historical causes and effects of events in our history. A primary focus will be given to the time period after the Civil War up until the present day. Students will be exposed to multimedia, research methods, and historical writing skills.
