AP English Literature and Composition

This college-level class, equivalent to English 1A and 1B, studies poetry, short story, drama, and novels. Writing assignments include literary analysis, research papers, creative projects, and reflective essays appropriate for college applications. Group work and class discussion form the foundation for understanding. The reading and writing demands of the course are rigorous and are designed to prepare students to take the Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition test in May.
