ROP Electrical Systems

Students in the first-semester Electrical Systems class will develop knowledge, skills, and self-confidence in maintaining and repairing automotive electrical systems that include charging systems, starting systems, chassis electrical systems, and automotive computers, automotive accessories, and hybrid systems. S/he will be able to identify and describe the function of components for each system. The student will be able to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills that are desirable in career placement and for additional training. S/he will be able to communicate procedures for maintenance and repair of the electrical system. The student will be able to identify and wisely select appropriate maintenance and repair parts and procedures. During the course, the student will work collaboratively while completing classwork, lab activities, and special projects. The students will practice shop safety, ensure tools are properly, and maintain a clean, environmentally favorable work area.
