PreCalculus and Trigonometry is a one-year course which provides a review of relevant topics from Algebra 2 and Geometry. Trigonometry emphasizes the study of periodic functions and real variables. Basic content centers on circular functions (using the unit circle) and trigonometric functions of angles. Pre-Calculus is the examination of the number system, and study of elementary functions. Basic content includes algebra of real numbers, factors, complex numbers and polynomials, analytical geometry based on vector algebra; polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions; circular functions and trigonometry; and elementary probability functions.
