Journalism

While managing all aspects of publishing a print newspaper and online news site, students will acquire skills in researching, reporting, interviewing, writing and revising. They will practice writing in various journalistic genres, from news stories to features, with an emphasis on meeting professional journalistic standards for quality, accuracy, and balance. Those who would like to specialize or pursue more advanced journalism will further develop skills in editing, in-depth reporting, photojournalism, graphic illustrations, or newspaper/web design. This course may be repeated for district graduation credit. It currently does not meet the requirements for English.
