Catalog description
AVID 10th grade program reinforces the study skills learned, self-esteem building, and writing strategies applicable across the academic curriculum. Special focus is put on preparation for the PSAT test in October and other standardized tests. Students investigate career choices to help determine college and major interests. Tutoring by peers and college students, guest speakers, and field trips are included as part of the curriculum. This course is UC-G approved at SCHS.
