PRT Biology

Biology courses typically cover topics such as structure and function, inheritance and variation of traits, matter and energy in organisms and ecosystems, interdependent relationships in ecosystems, natural selection, evolution, adaptation and biodiversity. Biology courses present students with the opportunity to develop and use biological models, identify cause and effect and recognize human impacts on the natural world. This science course also presents students with the opportunity to develop scientific reasoning skills through Science and Engineering Practices and Crosscutting Concepts This course is designed to be aligned with state standards using an alternative curriculum to access the standard.
